System Administrator - Middelburg

The System Administrator is responsible for keeping the client happy in terms of the system and data integrity, ensuring that all the hardware is in order relating to the geofences, bucket switches, and that the data is accurate and performing. Your role is to ensure that the client is getting the right data at the right time. You are responsible for validating the data from the platform, ensuring that hardware status is communicated on relevant channels and cycle and loader accuracies are at 95% or higher.
Your Role
- Ensure >95% cycle and loader accuracy across multiple mine sites.
- Ensure all the asses are updating and are live on site with daily/weekly checks.
- Cycle replays of the previous day/night shifts to ensure geofences are set up to cover all asset production activities and understand how the assets interact with each other
- Interpret Cycle Traces to determine the cycle accuracies and issues with cycles that don’t register.
- Ensure you client receives daily reports of any ongoing issues that are being attended to.
- Support Desk duty, attending to Support Tickets
- Understand and Implement Business Functionality
- Communicate tickets with Technical Account Managers
- Must be able to spot discrepancies quickly and efficiently
- Production tally comparisons
- Troubleshooting
- Ad hoc - Training: To provide remote or on-site training of the platform to clients.
What we're looking for
- B.Eng. Industrial Engineering or Mining Engineering (in progress or completed).
- 1-2 years analytics experience
- Strong computer literacy and advanced Excel skills.
- Microsoft Power BI advantageous
- Detail-oriented, excellent communicator, quick learner, critical thinker, and passionate about the storytelling of data.
- Medically fit to enter mine sites.
- Teachable, and able to work both in-office and on-site as needed.
- Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel to various mine sites as and when the role requires.
